Institute of Urban Homesteading
                This fun non-profit is located in Oakland.  They offer a wide array of awesome classes from cheese-making to tool use 101, if you want to learn a new homesteading skill, they probably offer a class for it.

Richmond Grows Seed Lending Library
                Take advantage of this great community resource when you begin planning your seasonal vegetable garden.  The main branch of the Richmond Library system has a seed-lending library that is open to folks who have a library card.  They have a great selection of seeds and some good information about how to save seeds.  Stop by and be inspired.

CA School Garden Network

               This awesome, albeit somewhat overwhelming website is a treasure trove of funding opportunities for school gardening projects.  If you are looking to start a school garden, or you have an established school garden and you are looking to fund a special project, this is the website for you.
